Looks like it could be great but not enough markers to discern where everything is, trails are poorly constructed and maintained compared to other State Parks, and far off the path for little pay off.
This place is midwest paradise! Absolutely loved it! To get to the picturesque ridge top area you see in a lot of the pictures, turn right when entering the park. If you turn left, there is an area to grab trail maps. There are extensive trails throughout the park! It is worth the drive from Omaha! My dog and I got a great work out!
Campsites are pretty nice, but the road markings for the camp sites mine as well be non existent.
I have picnic there. But I like to hike it.
Beautiful. Untouched. Quiet.
